Invitation to Bid

                                Seal Coating - Station 84, 86, 88 & 89

The Nevada County Consolidated Fire District (NCCFD) is requesting bids for seal coat, striping, and stenciling at four locations:

·         Fire Station 88, located at 14400 Golden Star Road Grass Valley, CA, 95949.

·         Fire Station 86, located at 12337 Banner Lava Cap Road, Nevada City, CA. 95959.

·         Fire Station 89, located at 11833 Tammy Way, Grass Valley, CA 95949.

·         Fire Station 84 located at 640 Coyote Street, Nevada City, CA 95959. 

The scope of the project will include Surface preparation, hot-applied crack seal material for all cracks over ¼”, seal coat, and stripe/stencil as specified.

All contractors must bid on the project at the proper prevailing wage rate for the craft of work being performed. The contractor must supply all documents and deliver certified payroll(s) upon completion of the project before NCCFD release of payment. Bids shall be a combination of lump sum and unit prices. Bids must be for all the work herein.  The contractor must possess the appropriate contractor license when bids are opened. The successful bidder must procure any necessary permits and provide proof of insurance. The district reserves the right to reject all bids.

No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].

 No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.

This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.

Bids will be accepted in person or by mail until 3:00pm, April 10, 2025.
