River rescues are demanding and high risk for our staff. Our first responders spend hundreds of hours a year developing their skill in many facets of rescue specifically for the canyon. All of the NCC Fire staff that respond are swift water rescue technician trained and certified as a California Office of Emergency Service type 3 team.
Our message to those visiting the South Yuba is: Be aware of your environment. Stay Alert. Stay Out of the Water. Stay Alive.
